Man in Zeća Arrested on Suspicion of Assaulting and Seriously Injuring Individual.

A 43-year-old MP from Zeća has been arrested on suspicions of physically assaulting and severely injuring an individual.
The Podgorica police responded to a citizen’s report regarding a public disturbance that occurred at a café in Zeta, where one individual sustained serious injuries.
According to the Police Directorate, “The MP (43) from Zeta was taken into custody by the order of the acting prosecutor, under suspicion of committing the crime of violent behavior in conjunction with serious bodily injury. He allegedly physically assaulted the victim, delivering multiple blows to the head and body, resulting in significant bodily harm.”
A criminal complaint has been filed against the MP with the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica.
The prosecutor’s office has ordered his detention for up to 72 hours due to reasonable suspicion of committing a violent behavior offense.
On February 25, 2025, at a cafe bar within the ‘Č’ gas station, the suspect reportedly attacked the victim, identified as AR, in front of numerous witnesses, delivering several blows to the head and body, which led to the victim sustaining serious injuries, as stated by the ODT.
