Doctors at the Clinic for Dermatovenerology have asked the director of the Clinical Center of Montenegro, Aleksandar Radović, to immediately remove the director of the clinic, Mirjana Bakić.

The reasons for this request are the “incompetent and unprofessional” work of the director in running the clinic, which, as they say in a letter to Radović, submitted to the media, is against the interests of the institution, its employees and patients. They claim that Bakić is mobbing employees and that this is why they were forced to contact the director of KCCG.

“Dr. Bakić has been continuously exercising arbitrariness and arrogance for a long time, more than if it were her private clinic. The director’s actions have disrupted the working atmosphere and interpersonal relationships at the Clinic, and therefore the overall functionality,” the unsigned letter reads.

As they say, this is primarily reflected in the “improper distribution” of work responsibilities and duties.

“This can be seen based on the schedule that the director compiles and signs. For example, before leaving for subspecialization, the director was physically present at the Clinic for three months, without having a single assignment according to the schedule. In October 2024, she was also not on the schedule, although she was physically present at the Clinic.”

As they add, “arbitrariness and arrogance” are also reflected in “disturbing the working atmosphere,” and it concerns the way the work space is distributed.

“Upon moving into the new premises, the director, in addition to her own director’s office with a meeting room, appropriated another doctor’s office – exclusively for her own needs. She advised the other doctors to group themselves into threes in one room. She distributed the doctors’ rooms outside of working hours, without all employees being present and without informing them. As a result, dissatisfaction among employees culminated, as they were prevented from working normally,” they added in the letter.

Doctors also claim that Bakić refuses to talk about resolving this problem.

“This once again shows what she has been doing for a long time – she treats her employees without any consideration. This is also connected to the complete lack of transparency in the management of the Clinic. Director Bakić never consulted or informed the employees about the procurement of medical equipment. She procured at her own discretion, so the question arises why the procurement of the equipment was carried out in secret. We, as employees, do not even know the organization of the Clinic – how many departments the Clinic has, and who manages them. The Director never informed us about this,” the letter sent to Radović reads.

On several occasions, over the past two months, they have asked the clinic director to contact the KCCG management to regulate their right to increase the number of days of annual leave.

“The director ignored all our requests without any explanation. Thus, she forced us to contact the management ourselves, by letter. We would like to remind you that to date, no response has been received. Finally, but no less importantly, with this address, we will not delve into the expertise and competence of Dr. Bakić to supervise the work of the Clinic as director. As professionals, you know very well that titles often do not imply expertise or knowledge,” the doctors said.

They are asking the leaders of the KCCG to respond to their letter without delay, and to “enable the normal operation of the Clinic for Dermatovenerology for the benefit of patients” by dismissing Mirjana Bakić.
