Manchester City supporters have eagerly anticipated witnessing one of their stars net a hat-trick for nearly six months. While expectations were initially set on Erling Haaland, the recent winter transfer window introduced another striker for the “Citizens,” one who also possesses the talent to score three goals in a single match.

Omar Marmusu, the recent addition from Eintracht, demonstrated his prowess shortly after entering the field, needing just 15 minutes in the match against Newcastle (4:0) to establish the outcome—he scored consecutively from the 19th to the 33rd minute, convincingly guiding City to one of their more straightforward victories this season.

Acquired for around 75 million last month, it appears that Pep Guardiola made a shrewd investment with the funds provided by Manchester City’s higher-ups.

We highlight the players who stood out during the weekend’s European football matches:

THE GOALKEEPER

Neuer (Bayern) – the only player from Bayern who rose to the occasion against Leverkusen. The Bavarians were thoroughly outmatched on the pitch, and it’s remarkable that they managed to keep the score at 0:0.

DEFENSE

Luis Skeli (Arsenal) – fewer observers remain who don’t recognize Luis Skeli as a world-class talent. Though Arsenal may not secure a trophy this season, their academy continues to shine, producing another rising star.

Spens (Tottenham) – Despite Spurs’ struggles against United, Spens consistently outpaced his rivals, demonstrating a commendable defensive presence.

THE MIDDLE

The agreement (Juventus) – His father Serge, who leads Milan, recently secured the Italian Super Cup trophy against Inter. Now the diminutive forward has emerged as the hero for “The Old Lady” in their victory over the “Nerazzurri,” propelling Juve into the Champions League qualifying zone.

Soule (Roma) – With Paulo Dybala sidelined by injury, his natural replacement excelled, delivering a stunning free-kick goal that clinched three crucial points for the “Wolves” against Parma.

Oysters (Juventus) – Confusion plagued his first half in the Derby d’Italia, but he rebounded strongly in the second half, playing a key role in his team’s win over the reigning champions.

ATTACK

Marmus (Manchester City) – Guardiola has another promising talent to develop, and the encounter with Newcastle served as a potent reminder of Marmus’s lethal capabilities.

Merino (Arsenal) – A reliable midfielder that every coach can depend upon, Merino made an impact as a striker, stepping up to score twice and secure victory against Leicester for the “Gunners.”

Jimenez (Milan) – With two goals and an assist across four appearances for Milan, the Mexican forward is off to a solid start for a seasoned striker.

Antoni (Calves) – He announced Betis’ win over Sociedad with a spectacular goal. “When you’re happy, everything is possible,” expressed the Brazilian upon joining the Spanish club. In Andalusia, it seems he’s found everything he was missing in Manchester.

Diyas (Liverpool) – He scored a goal and earned a penalty, leading Liverpool to victory against Wolverhampton.
