After great fights at the European Championships in Zadar, a young karateka from Bijela showed that he can beat even the best karatekas in the world – Montenegrin national team member Nemanja Mikulić advanced to the Premier League final in Paris.

He reached the gold medal match after five impressive victories. The karateka from Bijela finished the competition in first place in the group, after victories over Enes Bulut from Turkey 4:0, Kilian Kiz from France 7:2 and Algerian Osama Zaid 4:3.

In that duel, he was losing 3:1 with 15 seconds left, and he decided the winner with an ippon.

In the quarterfinals, he eliminated Hisham Abdelgawad from Egypt, and in the semifinals, Mohamed Abudabous from Libya 4:2.

His rival in Sunday’s final will be Egypt’s Abdaliya Abdelaziz.

Another Montenegrin representative, Nikola Malović, is competing today in the 84 kg category. The Montenegrin national team in Paris is led by coach Almir Cecunjanin.
