Although he has had limited opportunities with the Juventus first team, it was evident from his signing that Vasilije Adžić would begin his journey in the iconic black and white jersey with the youth squad…

The Montenegrin prodigy caught the attention of coach Tiago Mota during his initial training sessions, making his debut in both Serie A and the Champions League, subsequently earning playing time with Juventus’ Next Gen team.

Genoa, a fellow Serie A club, viewed the situation as a chance to bring the former Buducnost midfielder in on loan, but Turin’s response was a firm – no.

As reported by Sport and other media outlets from Italy, the northern Italian club decided to keep Adžić in order to keep a closer eye on his development within the youth team.

“And, considering the respect he has always commanded from coach Thiago Mota, he remains a potential option for the Juventus first team,” Corriere further notes.

Adžić has already participated in two matches for Juve’s youth team in Serie C — he netted a stunning free-kick goal and provided an assist against Benevento, while showcasing his dribbling skills during the match against Potenza.

The young talent from Nikšić joined Juventus from Buducnost last summer. While early reports lauded his impressive skill during training, injuries unfortunately delayed his debut.

However, he managed to make his appearance against Lazio in Serie A, followed shortly by a match against Stuttgart in the Champions League.

This February saw him join the Next Gen team, bringing the total number of Montenegrin talents in the youth categories of Italian clubs to three – Andrija Vukoje joined Inter from Grbalj and quickly started scoring, while Bodin Tomašević is now with Bologna’s youth setup.
