The European season continues for the water polo players of Primorac and Jadran M:tel, who after the group stage campaign of the Champions League moved to the Eurocup – and they see it as a chance to be more competitive, and with a little luck in the draw, maybe even go all the way in this competition.

However, the first challenges are in the round of 16 – the team from Kotor, the current champions of Montenegro, traveled to Hungary to play BVSC and the goal is to get a result that would increase their chances before the rematch scheduled for February 6 at the “Zoran-Džimi Gopčević” swimming pool.

BVSC is a typical Hungarian team, and as such it is particularly demanding for all rivals – even the selected players know this. Vjekoslav Pasković behind which is a triumph in the regional Premier League against Primorje.

“The most important thing from that game is the three points, but we have new responsibilities ahead of us. I hope we will do the match in Hungary the right way and that we will get closer to reaching the quarterfinals,” said one of Primorac’s main assets. Dusan Matkovic.

The team from Novi Sad is visiting Šabac, a team they easily defeated in the regional competition on Wednesday – at Škver it was 18:8. Jadran is the favorite, but it has to justify it in the pool.

“The Euro Cup is an important competition for us and we will not pay attention to the game from a few days ago, because this one will certainly be more difficult. We have to be aware that it is a two-legged tie, that nothing can be resolved in the first leg, but we want to make things easier for ourselves before the second leg and have a clearer situation. We are going quarter by quarter and I think we are well prepared,” said the Jadran coach. Vladimir Gojkovic.
