Nikola Malović, a member of the Montenegrin karate national team, did not make it to the quarterfinals of the Premier League in Paris.

Representing Onogošt from Nikšić, he finished in second place in the 84 kg category, boasting two victories and one defeat.

In his opening match in the seventh group, he displayed a strong performance against Latvian Denis Sadikovs, winning 7:1. However, he faced a setback in the second round, losing to Moroccan Mehdi Sriti with a score of 4:2.

Although Malović secured a victory against Turgut Hasanov from Azerbaijan, he ultimately placed second in his group, as the Moroccan competitor, ranked 12th, progressed to the quarterfinals as the group winner with an undefeated record.

Tomorrow, Nemanja Mikulić will compete for the championship in the 75 kg category against Egyptian Abdali Abdelaziz. The karateka from White card has advanced to the gold medal match after clinching five wins.

This tournament in Paris featured the top 32 competitors in each category according to world rankings, divided into eight groups.

The winners of each group, after three rounds of competition, earned a spot in the knockout stage, advancing to the top eight.

Performances in the Premier League are crucial due to the new qualification system for the World Championship based on WKF rankings.

Among the Montenegrin participants, Mario Hodžić, representing Omladinca, has successfully qualified for the World Championship.
