Rafael Agajev: Montenegrin Karate Expert Trains with the Best

The Bar Karate Club is set to host a karate fighting seminar on March 8th and 9th, featuring renowned multiple European and world champion, Azerbaijani Rafael Agajev.

This seminar will take place in the Topolica hall, with training sessions scheduled for both days from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Over a hundred karate practitioners from Montenegro and neighboring countries are expected to participate.

“We are thrilled as a club to have the opportunity to bring such an esteemed athlete to Bar and to learn directly from the best. I am hopeful that the seminar will proceed smoothly and that we will gain valuable insights about modern karate from this exceptional champion,” stated KK Bar coach Almir Cecunjanin.

Agayev is recognized as the most accomplished karate competitor in combat sports history.

The legendary Azerbaijani athlete, who won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics, is an 11-time European champion and boasts five gold medals from world championships. He also secured gold at the European Games in Baku in 2015 and earned silver four years later in Minsk.

Agayev has reached the finals of the World Championships twice more and has been a runner-up in the European Championships on four occasions.

Additionally, he has stood on the podium at both the world and European championships ten more times and has achieved victory at the World Martial Arts Games.
