The women’s national handball team will convene tomorrow to resume training for the European Championship, scheduled from November 28 to December 15 in Austria, Hungary, and Switzerland.
This will mark the second assembly under the direction of the new coach Suzana Lazović, following their gathering at the end of September.
The Montenegrin handball players will face an excellent test against Croatia as part of the EHF week. They will engage in joint training and a match in Prelog, which will not be open to the public.
The roster for the EHF week features 19 players, with no newcomers included.
The list highlights goalkeeper Marta Batinović and defenders Đurđina Malović and Ilda Kepić, who, despite being included, will miss this outing but are vying for spots on the team for the upcoming EHF Euro 2024.
The national team will hold its first training session during the EHF week tomorrow at 5 PM in the gym of the Sports and Cultural Center of the University of Montenegro.
The team is set to travel to Croatia on Thursday, with a friendly match and joint training against the national team, which is also preparing for the tournament featuring Europe’s finest selections, scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
In the EHF Euro 2024, Montenegro will compete in a group in Debrecen, facing off against Serbia, Romania, and the Czech Republic.
The top two teams will advance to the main round.
