Azemović Attends Inaugural International Bosniak Summit in Istanbul

The Minister of Diaspora, Mirsad Azemović, recently took part in the inaugural International Bosniak Summit, held in Istanbul two days ago, as reported by the Ministry of Diaspora.
According to the announcement, the summit gathered representatives of the global Bosniak diaspora, along with distinguished officials, intellectuals, and business leaders, aimed at enhancing cooperation and networking.
During his speech, Minister Azemović highlighted the diaspora’s crucial role in safeguarding the identity and culture of Bosniaks, while also fostering connections between their home countries and Bosniak communities worldwide, as noted in the statement.
Azemović specifically mentioned the Government of Montenegro’s dedication to enhancing collaboration with the diaspora through targeted projects and institutional support.
“The diaspora serves not just as a bridge between nations but also as a pivotal element in economic, cultural, and social development. Montenegro understands the significance of the diaspora and is actively engaged in fortifying relationships with all our emigrants, especially through initiatives that facilitate their deeper involvement in our homeland,” stated Azemović.
He further indicated that the Ministry he leads aims to forge even stronger connections with the diaspora, announcing the establishment of the Diaspora Registry, which will become operational on March 1.
The Minister also extended an invitation to representatives of expatriate associations to visit Montenegro, as the statement concluded.
