The Lovcen handball team made significant progress towards securing a spot in the 3rd round of the EHF European Cup.

Competing as formal guests, the Cetinje-based squad dominated Azerbaijan’s Baki, winning the match 41:21 at their home ground this evening.

The upcoming rematch, also taking place in the capital, is expected to be a mere formality for the Montenegrin side.

Leading the charge for Lovćen were Petar Radoičić and Danilo Pajović, each netting seven goals, while Đorđo Peruničić contributed five to the scoreline.

Goalkeeper Savo Vujović also shone brightly, achieving eight saves during the match.
