The National Security Council of Serbia has denounced the initial ruling against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, describing it as undemocratic and unlawful.

During the session held tonight, Serbian Police Minister Ivica Dačić informed reporters that President Aleksandar Vučić presented seven points and conclusions regarding the initial ruling against Dodik, which were subsequently accepted.

At the meeting, Dačić emphasized that there was significant concern over the current situation in that entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina, noting it as the most serious crisis since the conclusion of the war, as reported by RTS.

The Council convened at the General Secretariat of the President of Serbia.

As the Secretary of the Council, Dačić urged calm in the reactions of the public.

Additionally, they called for adherence to the Dayton Agreement and the cessation of violations that have contributed to the end of the war.

They expressed their opposition to foreign interference, which they stated has “caused problems.”

Furthermore, the Council called for unity and solidarity among Serbs and all parties in RS and Serbia.

“The most serious crisis since the end of the war”

Dačić noted that there was great concern about the RS situation and characterized it as the most serious crisis since the end of the war.

This situation was attributed to a “general attack” from Sarajevo and some Western powers against RS and the foundational principles of the Dayton Agreement.

In his view, this reflects a desire to redefine RS, potentially leading to its disappearance.

Dačić reported that President Vučić is currently on his way to the airport to travel to Banja Luka.

“They will meet with Milorad Dodik. It’s evident to everyone that Serbia is in a challenging position, both for RS and for the Serbian people at large,” Dačić stated.

The session was attended by outgoing Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević, Minister of Justice Maja Popović, Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić, Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić, Minister of Interior Ivica Dačić, Chief of the General Staff Milan Mojsilović, Speaker of the Parliament Ana Brnabić, and Director of the BIA Vladimir Orlić.
