The current heavyweight champion and top boxer, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, refuted claims that Volodymyr Zelensky wore his most esteemed title, the WBC belt, during a meeting with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in the Oval Office.

Usyk also holds the WBA and WBO titles after failing to defend the IBF title within the required timeframe, which he earned following his first victory over Tyson Fury. He is recognized as the absolute champion.

“All my championship belts are at home, and I’m not sure… It seems to be a belt custom-made for that occasion. Therefore, I can’t comment on that belt or the event. I don’t know, nor do I wish to know,” Usyk remarked.

Reports from Ukrainian media suggest that it is indeed a specially created belt, a replica by the WBC federation to commemorate the initial Usyk-Fury match in Riyadh — referred to as the memory belt.

This belt was presented to Zelensky following the first fight for the absolute heavyweight championship in 14 years, with Lennox Lewis being the last to unify all four titles.
