The sole valid bid for purchasing municipal land designated for a large shopping mall in Nikšić came from “BIG fashion”.

Mayor Marko Kovačević stated, “The tender for the sale of construction land totaling 42,201 square meters was announced on February 7, with a starting price of 35 euros per square meter. Bids were accepted until February 17 at noon, while the deadline for withdrawing tender documentation was last Friday.”

Kovačević noted that Nikšić has successfully attracted a significant investor who will create numerous new jobs.

The applicant proposed an offer of 36.5 euros per square meter, bringing the total deal value to 1,540,336.5 euros, which will be the revenue for the Municipality of Nikšić. Additionally, a deposit of 300,000 euros has already been submitted as part of the public call application,” he added.

The sale of this land marks the initiation of the “Sunny City” project, which is set to include the construction of up to a thousand new housing units in Nikšić surrounding the future shopping center.

“I would like to extend my gratitude to our Property Directorate, led by Director Radosav Urošević, for successfully executing this vital process for Nikšić and its citizens,” Kovačević emphasized.
