Partizan Rages in the Fashion Capital as Piraeus Triumphs in Madrid

Partizan put an end to its run of three back-to-back away games in the Euroleague with a pair of victories, overpowering Olimpija in Milan with a score of 90:70.

The “black and whites” delivered an exceptional performance, and by the end of the month, they will be hosting twice – facing Paris, as well as their city rivals and Željko Obradović’s squad, providing an excellent chance to enter the playoff race.

Sterling Brown excelled at the “Arena,” scoring 27 points and grabbing seven rebounds, including an impressive display from beyond the arc (6-4). Karlik Jones contributed 24 points and nine assists, while his counterpart Tyreek added 22 points and seven rebounds.

Nikola Mirotic and Sammy Shields both registered 16 points for the losing side.

Partizan now holds a record of 11 wins and 12 losses, whereas Milan has one more victory after the 22nd round, currently sitting in 10th place, the final spot that qualifies for the playoffs.

In the Madrid derby, Olympiacos triumphed over Real Madrid, claiming a 96:86 victory. Real Madrid narrowly escaped a blowout due to the relaxed performance of their guests from Piraeus.

Evan Fournier led his team with 28 points, while Saša Vezenkov added 13 points and nine rebounds, and Nikola Milutinov also contributed 13 points and eight rebounds.

Mario Hezonja was the standout for Real Madrid with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Dzanan Musa chipped in 14 points.

Olympiacos currently leads the league with 16 wins out of 22 games, while Real Madrid is in ninth place with 12 wins and 10 losses.

Lyon and Paris managed to defend their home courts successfully. Lyon triumphed over Alba after an overtime thriller, winning 96:89, while Euroleague newcomer Paris defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 96:83.

Asvel’s victory was propelled by Edwin Jackson, who scored 18 points, and Theo Maledon, who added 17 points. Melvin Ajinsa and Nando De Colo also contributed with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Matt Thomas was the standout for the visiting team from Berlin, scoring 20 points. Asvel currently holds the 14th position with 10 wins and 12 losses, whereas Alba sits at the bottom, in 18th place with three wins and 19 losses.

In the upcoming round, Asvel will welcome Barcelona, while Alba is set to host Bayern in Berlin.
