Vikingur Shocks Athens’ “Greens,” TSC Claims Victory in Bačka Topola

The players of Vikingur triumphed over Panathinaikos with a score of 2:1 in Helsinki this evening during the first leg of the Conference League round of 13. Vikingur’s goals came from David Atlason in the 59th minute and Matijas Vilhjalmson shortly thereafter.
For the visiting team from Athens, Fotis Yanidis scored a penalty goal in the second minute of stoppage time.
Shamrocks managed to secure a 1-0 victory against Molde on their away match, with Michael Noonan netting the decisive goal in the 57th minute. Molde played with ten men from the 42nd minute after Valdemar Lund received a straight red card.
In Celje, the match between Celje and APOEL ended in a 2:2 draw. Armandas Kucis scored both goals for Celje in the second and 59th minutes. For APOEL, David Abagna found the net in the 32nd minute, and Konstantinos Laifis scored in the 70th minute.
TSC faced a home defeat in Bačka Topola against Polish team Jagiellonia, finishing 1:3. TSC initially led the game with a goal from Mbongu Prestiž in the 28th minute, but Jagiellonia equalized three minutes later through Hesus Imas. Jagiellonia then took the lead with a goal from Afimiko Pululu in the 81st minute, marking his sixth goal in the Conference League this season, and Imas sealed the final score with another goal in the 89th minute.
The return legs are planned for one week from now.
