Dragan Adžić, the Montenegrin handball coach, has parted ways with Crimea, as announced by the Slovenian club.
This decision came after a defeat against Metz (34:25) in the Champions League. Crimea has now suffered three consecutive losses in this tournament and currently holds the 3rd position in the standings.
Adžić concluded his tenure at Crimea after two years.
During this time, he also managed the Slovenian national team, leading them to qualify for the Olympic Games scheduled in Paris this summer for the first time. He has extended his contract with the Slovenian Federation until 2026.
In a statement on the Slovenian club’s website, it was mentioned: “The club expresses its gratitude to Adžić for his commitment and hard work and wishes him success in his future sporting endeavors.”
In the interim, Žiga Novak, Adžić’s assistant, will take over the coaching responsibilities until a new coach is appointed.
