The outstanding displays of Takefusa Kubo, a Japanese midfielder, have earned him a special place in the hearts of Real Sociedad supporters. His talent has also garnered attention from the lucrative Professional Saudi League.
Following Real Sociedad’s 2-1 victory against Midtjylland in the away leg of the Europa League round of 16, the 23-year-old Kubo made an impactful remark:
“I prefer brilliant football, not overly expensive football!”
Despite his youth, Kubo has excelled in Spain’s top football division, with 26 goals and 13 assists to his name since he joined in 2019.
This season alone, he has recorded four goals in 23 La Liga appearances, and Transfermarkt has assessed his market value at over 40 million euros.
