Hakimi, Mendes, and Vitinha Sign Contract Extensions with Paris Saint-Germain

Players Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, and Vitinha have renewed their contracts with Paris Saint-Germain, extending their tenures at the club until 2029.

Additionally, Joram Zaga has signed a contract extension until 2028. Meanwhile, promising talents from the youth setup, Ibrahim Mbaje and Naufel El Hanah, have inked their first professional agreements with the club until 2027, according to the official Paris Saint-Germain website.

The Paris Saint-Germain website highlighted, “Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and Joram Zaga have all made meaningful contributions to our club. We take great pride that our youth academy has nurtured two exceptional young talents, Ibrahim Mbaje and Naufel El Hanah, who are now stepping into the professional arena.”

Achraf Hakimi, 26, made his move to Paris Saint-Germain from Inter in 2021 for €60 million. Since then, he has appeared in 147 matches for the club and has been named in the French league’s best XI for both the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.

Nuno Mendes, 22, initially joined Paris Saint-Germain on loan from Sporting in 2021, with the French club securing his transfer permanently the following year for €38 million. The Portuguese defender has played 107 times for Paris Saint-Germain and was included in the league’s best XI during the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons.

Vitinha, 24, transferred from Porto to Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 for €41.5 million. He has made 123 appearances for the club, and in the current 2023/24 season, he has been recognized in both the French league’s best XI and the Champions League’s ideal team.

Joram Zaga, now 18, progressed through the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain’s youth academy and made his first-team debut last season.

In a further development, Paris Saint-Germain’s coach Luis Enrique has also extended his contract, which will now run until 2027.
