Kraljevo Mayor Evacuated Amidst Residents’ Egg-Throwing Protest

Tonight, in front of the city hall, Kraljevo’s mayor, Predrag Terzić, was targetted by citizens who threw eggs at him.

Following a day where citizens and opposition councilors effectively blocked the city council, Terzić was swiftly escorted out of the building, as reported by Nova.rs.

Footage shared on social media shows Terzić being hurried by several police officers towards one of the entrances to the parliament building.

As he was being evacuated, Terzić and the police faced a barrage of eggs from the crowd.

A line of police was established in front of the building, effectively closing off the street, and it also became necessary to evacuate councilors from the ruling coalition, according to N1.

The session at the Kraljevo City Assembly faced mounting tensions throughout the day, as opposition councilors occupied the rostrum and the mayor’s seat, demanding his departure from the assembly hall.

In a show of support, citizens gathered outside the Assembly building.
