Notable Rivals of Our Water Polo Players at the European Championships in Turkey and Romania
Our junior water polo teams have discovered their opponents for the group stage of this summer’s European Championships.
The U16 national team will compete in Group B of the championship, taking place in Manisa, Turkey, from July 16th to 7th, alongside Greece, Italy, and Croatia.
Group A consists of Hungary, Serbia, Spain, and Turkey. Meanwhile, Group C includes Malta, the Netherlands, Georgia, and Moldova, while Group D features Germany, Romania, Israel, and Poland.
Our U18 national team will participate in Group B at the European Championship in Oradea, Romania, from August 18th to 24th, which also includes Spain, Serbia, and Croatia.
Group A comprises Greece, Hungary, Italy, and the Netherlands. Group C features Turkey, France, Romania, and Poland, and Group D contains Germany, Malta, Georgia, and Ukraine.
The competition rules for the junior selections state that the top eight national teams are divided into Groups A and B, with all four teams advancing to the knockout stages. The group placements will determine which teams from Groups C and D they will face in the opening knockout round.
