The water polo players of Jadran M:tela are demonstrating talent and skill that inspire hopes for a successful conclusion to the season.

The Novi Beograd team, who recently handed their first loss of the season to the same opponent, convincingly triumphed over Jadran in Split with a score of 11:5, marking their 11th consecutive win in the regional Premier League.

The last team to defeat Vladimir Gojković’s squad in this league was Jadran from Split, who had the upper hand at Novi 26. Oktober last year.

Key contributors to Jadran’s success included Dmitrij Holod, Jovan Vujović, and Danilo Radović, each scoring twice, while Uroš Vučurović, Đorđe Lazić, Strahinja Gojković, Aleksandar Ivović, and Vuk Milojević each added a goal to the tally.

This victory allows Jadran to equal Novi Beograd’s point total, although the latter holds a game in hand.

“This is a crucial victory for our final standings in the regular season. I believe that with this win, we have moved ahead of them into second place, and I hope we can continue this momentum. After a series of wins in the last month, our ambitions and confidence are on the rise,” stated Aleksandar Ivović.

In addition, Buducnost’s water polo players followed their victory against Proleter (22:10) in Novi Sad with another successful match, defeating Vojvodina 13:8.

This brings Aleksandar Aleksić’s squad to five straight victories, achieving their 10th win in 13 matches within Group B of the A1 Regional League, thereby solidifying their second-place position that leads to the playoffs.
