The blockade of Belgrade’s Autokomanda will commence today at 10:00 AM and continue for 24 hours, as announced by the Law Faculty students leading the blockade.

On their Legal in Blockade social media page on X, they urged citizens to participate, mentioning that each shift would last four hours.

“We will set up tents and host various activities like a tea party with students, mini football matches, chess tournaments, and more,” they stated in their announcement.

Through their Instagram account “students in blockade,” in a post titled “27. 1. ‘Under our (Auto)command'”—which provides more details on the 24-hour blockade—they encouraged everyone to adhere to established rules and follow the stewards’ guidance to ensure the safety of all attendees.

They emphasized that the blockade is organized as a peaceful protest designed to deliver a strong message, while avoiding any incidents or unnecessary risks.

As part of the announcements, at 11:52 AM a brief moment of silence will be observed to honor the victims of the Novi Sad railway station canopy collapse on November 1, 2024.

At 8:00 PM, a reading of student demands will take place, which includes calls for accountability regarding the accident and legal actions against individuals who have attacked students during previous protests.

Interior Minister Ivica Dačič informed the public on Sunday evening that the police will redirect traffic around Autokomanda.
