The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, has officially promulgated the Law on the Budget of Montenegro for 2025, which was approved by the Parliament during an extraordinary session on February 7 of this year, as announced today by the Public Relations Office of the President of Montenegro.

Additionally, he promulgated the Law on Amendments to the Law on Budget and Fiscal Responsibility, along with the Law on Amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, which were also passed during the same parliamentary session.

During the session on February 7, members of parliament ratified this year’s budget and reached a decision on borrowing.

Notably, the opposition boycotted this parliamentary session.

This key economic measure received backing from 46 MPs, one abstained, and there were no votes against it. Furthermore, a total of 54 amendments were proposed to the budget from various parties, including the Government, the Social Democrats, the Civic Movement URA, the Special Club of MPs, and the Legislative Committee.
