Marija Martinović (38), who lost her husband and parents, was injured in a tragic shooting perpetrated by the deranged Aco Martinović (45) in their hometown. Her story is making waves in the region.

While holding her child, Marija managed to escape from the assailant and rushed to a neighbor’s house, where she was able to hand over her child, thus saving their life.

Her father, lawyer Rade Stanojević from Vučac near Smederevo, provided an update on his daughter’s condition.

“We are currently in Montenegro. My daughter is doing better, although she has been injured. She shielded the child with her body. Thankfully, she is alright and with us now. We traveled from Serbia to Cetinje after hearing what had happened. I don’t have anything more to say,” he told “News”.

The assailant brutally murdered her husband, Dever, as well as her mother-in-law, while Marija desperately clutched her child in an attempt to protect them.

After breaking into the family home of Radovan and Radmile Martinović, where he also took the lives of their twin sons, Mark and Miloš, the killer turned and shot at Martinović’s wife, too.
