According to the latest MONSTATA data, in November, the prices of personal consumption items and services in Montenegro increased on average by over 1.7 percent compared to the same month last year.

Consumer prices in November saw a rise of more than 0.2 percent on average when compared to October.

“The monthly increase was primarily influenced by categories such as vegetables, clothing, household goods, fuel and lubricants for vehicles, as well as milk, cheese, eggs, actual rent payments for primary residences, and personal care items,” the statement indicated.

From January to November, consumer prices averaged over 3.4 percent higher compared to the same period last year.

When examined by major product and service categories, November experienced a 1 percent increase in clothing and footwear, a 0.9 percent rise in furniture and household equipment, and a 0.3 percent increase in other goods and services, while transport costs rose by 0.2 percent. Food and soft drinks, housing, water, electricity, gas, fuel, and health services saw a 0.1 percent change.

Conversely, there was a price drop in the categories of restaurants and hotels by 0.7 percent, recreation and culture by 0.3 percent, and a slight decline of 0.1 percent for alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and communications.

No significant price changes were noted for other products and services.
