Montenegro Enjoys Three Day Public Holiday for Christmas Celebrations

The Montenegrin Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Dialogue has announced that non-working days for Orthodox Christmas will be January 6, 7, and 8.

According to the law regarding religious holidays, employees are entitled to paid leave for the following days: Monday, January 6 (Bandy Day), January 7 (Christmas Day), and Wednesday, January 8 (the second day of Christmas).

The ministry emphasizes that “state bodies, local self-government, public institutions, and other entities are required to ensure that their operations during holidays do not cause adverse effects for citizens or the state.”
