Spajić’s Silence: Avoiding the Question on the Srebrenica Resolution!

Kosovo online

Milojko Spajic

The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, has refrained from addressing whether Montenegro will support the resolution on Srebrenica at the upcoming UN General Assembly, as reported by Politics.

During a recent press conference, Spajić stated that Montenegro has clearly articulated its stance multiple times in the past.

– Currently, this is not a pressing topic; it is more about our future. We believe this issue belongs to the past, and Montenegro’s position has been repeatedly emphasized. We will keep you informed about all diplomatic efforts in due course. As of today, it is not on the agenda – Spajić remarked.

He also emphasized that the EU perceives significant improvements in rule of law within Montenegro.

– These represent the core values of the EU, full adherence to external security and defense policies, and the rule of law – Spajić added.

Referring to Mila Djukanovic’s recent comments about the political landscape in Montenegro being akin to blood vengeance, Spajić claimed that “the most effective revenge is in infrastructure development”.

– I advocate for addressing the poor governance of the past through our improved management of state affairs and enhancement of infrastructure. In my view, that is the ultimate form of revenge, concluding that cycle of vengeance, hopefully, forever in Montenegro – Spajić stated, as reported by Podgorica media.
