The basketball team from Podgorica will take on Helios tonight at 20:00 in the second round of the NLB ABA2 League’s second phase.
In their first match, Podgorica narrowly lost to Zlatibor at home with a score of 72:70, while Helios fell to Bosna in Domžale, 76:73.
“We’re facing a strong Helios team, which experienced a close defeat in their first match against one of the top contenders, Bosna. They are physically robust, play fast, and are very aggressive. We must prevent them from setting their pace. I anticipate a challenging game and a fierce battle for all 40 minutes, and I’m hopeful we can secure a victory in the end,” stated Podgorica’s coach, Marko Sekulić.
Over the weekend, Podgorica faced a loss against Primorje in the First Montenegrin League in Herceg Novi, and now they are preparing for a match in the regional league just two days later.
“Only two days after our domestic league derby, we are looking forward to continuing our competition in the NLB ABA2 league. There hasn’t been much time for rest as we are in a packed schedule of matches, but I’m confident we’ll respond appropriately. Helios is a formidable team, and while we know we have a tough task ahead of us, we will definitely seek out our opportunities,” remarked Podgorica player Pavle Đurišić.
