The acting chief of the Municipal Police in Kolašin is currently Stevan Zvicer, a municipal inspector hailing from Budva.

According to statements provided to “Vijesti” by the Municipality, the reason for appointing personnel from a southern municipality is that “there are no employees within the Kolašin Municipality’s staffing system who meet the legal requirements and who are interested in this position.”

“The appointee has been designated as acting head in accordance with the Law on Local Self-Government and the Law on Communal Police, which delineate the qualifications for the role of mayor. These qualifications include: level VII 1 of the national qualifications framework, a minimum of five years of managerial experience within the municipal police, municipal inspection, police force, ANB, and state administration levels responsible for internal affairs. Additionally, eight years of professional experience in similar roles requiring independence in work, as well as passing the professional examination for municipal police responsibilities,” stated Petko Bakić’s office to “Vijesti”.

They assert that Zvicer possesses over 11 years of experience as a municipal inspector within the municipal inspection and police of Budva, along with extensive experience as an inspection coordinator in Kotor.

The Municipal Police’s duties encompass conducting inspection supervision to maintain municipal order across various domains, such as water supply, wastewater and stormwater management, public cleanliness, as well as the transportation and disposal of municipal and other waste…

Furthermore, municipal police officers are tasked with overseeing environmental noise control, the use of municipal symbols, and monitoring compliance with working hours.
