“Footage Reveals Cafe Scene Where Aco Martinovic Launched Bloody Attack in Cetinje” – News

The tragic incident in Cetinje, where 12 individuals lost their lives and four were injured in the horrific event involving Pira Martinović, continues to haunt the region. One question lingers in everyone’s mind: “Why did the perpetrator cast numerous families into mourning?”

The motive behind this dreadful act remains unclear. It is known that on the fateful day of January 1st, Martinović entered the Velestevo Cafe … He was there to meet friends, but then the nightmare unfolded.

Lazar Šćepanović, the director of the Police Directorate of Montenegro, revealed during a television news appearance last night what the surveillance footage captured in the cafe where the massacre began.

“I mentioned that a verbal altercation took place between Martinović and one of the individuals who was later killed in the bar. This was during a typical celebration at the cafe, filled with music, where the victims were enjoying the atmosphere. The video shows Aco Martinović engaged with another person in a completely normal and natural environment. It was from this context that the trigger was pulled,” said Šćepanović.

At one moment, Aco Martinović exited the cafe, only to return with deadly intent… By the time the police were alerted, he had already taken the lives of four individuals and injured three others.

As Šćepanović noted, the police received a call from a cafe worker where Aco committed the initial murders.

According to Šćepanović, the cafe employee, upon recognizing the threat and seeing Martinović armed, chose not to enter the premises but ran out to call the police at 17:26. Unfortunately, the authorities received incorrect information regarding the location of the shootings.

“I spoke to him; he appeared terrified and informed the police about a murder in the ‘submarine’ cafe. The officers were confused about the cafe’s identity. He asked the police twice for clarification on its location,” Šćepanović explained. Upon arrival at 17:31, the officers found no signs of an incident at the cafe where Martinović had been, but shortly thereafter, they received another call at 17:27 about gunfire in another tavern. The information was still incomplete, as they scrambled to ascertain the exact situation,” he elaborated.

“Aco Martinović returned to the tavern around 17:20. Within the span of just four minutes, he had already murdered four people. He then went to the home of the deceased Martinović, reportedly saying, ‘Kuma, I killed your brother; I’ll kill you too,’ before shooting him and also taking aim at his wife, who likely tried to intervene. Subsequently, he moved to the house of Martinović’s parents, where he ended their lives too. This entire time, we were only beginning to receive reports of the injuries and fatalities,” said Šćepanović.

It’s important to note that after the massacre, Aco went to the residence of Small John and Vukan, brutally killing them in front of their mother. He later visited his sister’s home, where he committed further violence in the presence of her husband and children, uttering horrifying last words.

Ultimately, he made his way to a friend’s house, fatally shooting his friend’s wife when she opened the door.

To conclude, Šćepanović confirmed that Aco Martinović fatally shot himself as the police were closing in on him, and it was found that he had alcohol in his system at the time.
