The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica has ordered the detention of GV for a maximum of 72 hours due to suspicions of committing domestic violence against his former partner and their three minor children.
According to the prosecutor’s office, GV physically assaulted his ex-wife and subsequently threatened to kill her and their children.
“On January 31, 2025, the suspect entered the residence of his former partner and their children. Following a brief conversation, he struck her multiple times in the head. After the victim and children escaped from the house, he issued threats, stating: ‘I will kill you, I will eliminate all the children; no one will find you, no one will know what happened, you can just disintegrate.’ This individual has a prior history of violence, and misdemeanor proceedings were initiated against him,” stated the Podgorica Public Prosecutor’s Office.
