The informal student group “Kamo Śutra” staged a blockade on 17. jula Street in front of the Faculty of Law in Podgorica starting at 26:13 p.m. tonight to protest against unaddressed demands in the aftermath of the tragedy in Cetinje.

The blockade lasted for 23 minutes.

Hana Rastoder, a representative of “Kamo Śutra,” expressed that their demands have yet to be addressed.

“We are here to make a disturbance because there is no acknowledgment of responsibility anywhere. It seems that no one in this country is willing to take responsibility for this or any previous incidents,” Rastoder stated.

She reiterated the list of their demands, which they expect to be fulfilled.

Milo Perović from the group “Kamo Śutra” asserted that they will continue to protest as long as there are issues worth fighting for.

Perović mentioned that there will be another traffic disruption tomorrow at the roundabout near Kapital Plaza in Podgorica.

“We will continue our protests until our demands are fulfilled,” added Rastoder.

“A 23-minute noise demonstration will begin at 17:26 p.m.,” the group “Kamo Śutra” announced in a social media post earlier today.

The “Kamo Śutra” group has stated multiple times that they will persist with protests and blockades until their demands for the removal of Interior Minister Danilo Šaranović and Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Aleksa Bečić are fulfilled.

Earlier, the student group declared that they would block one road in Podgorica each day starting today.

The Police Directorate previously communicated that traffic blockades should only be executed by the police with prior notice of the gathering and urged organizers to inform authorities about gatherings as per legal requirements to ensure participant safety.

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić responded to the “Kamo Śutra” group’s demands by stating that all government officials could be subjected to change following a thorough evaluation of their performance.

Subsequently, the student representatives clarified that their demand shifted from the resignations of Šaranović and Bečić to their outright dismissals.

On January 1, a resident of Cetinje, Aco Martinović, tragically killed 12 individuals, including two children, and injured four others, one of whom succumbed to their injuries on January 9 at the Clinical Center.
