Marcus Rashford is set to join Aston Villa, who will cover 70 percent of his remarkable salary at Manchester United, which stands at £325,000 per week, as part of a loan agreement.

The Red Devils’ forward’s contract will be redeemable by Aston Villa for £40 million. The go-ahead for acquiring the exceptionally talented but, as per the Red Devils’ coaching staff, “problematic” Rashford was granted by Villa’s coach, Unai Emery.

The Villans have resources available after finalizing the transfer of 77-year-old Colombian striker John Duran to Al Nasr for €21 million, with an additional €13 million in potential bonuses.

To fill the attacking gap, PSG’s attacking midfielder Marco Asensio is also set to arrive in Birmingham on loan.

Asensio, a 29-year-old Spaniard, has netted two goals and assisted four times in 12 appearances in Ligue 1 this season.
