Milojko Spajic Absent from Christmas Liturgy Due to Health Issues – News Update

A significant number of worshippers gathered in the temple of Christ’s resurrection in Podgorica for the morning Christmas liturgy.

Among the attendees were Podgorica’s Mayor Sasa Mujović and President of the Assembly Jelena Borovinić Bojović. Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister Filip Ivanović was also present.

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić announced that he would not be attending the liturgy due to health concerns.

He extended Christmas greetings to all Orthodox believers in Montenegro, reflecting on the tragedy that occurred in Cetinje on the first day of the year, where 12 lives were lost and four others were seriously injured.

“The peace of God, Christ is born! We greet Christmas with heartfelt thoughts towards families who faced immense pain in the early days of this year. In the light of Christ’s birth, let us seek strength and wisdom to move forward, fostering solidarity and mutual respect,” Spajić expressed on Platform X.
