Pioneers at a prestigious international tournament in Italy

Trailblazers at a Renowned International Tournament in Italy

The opponents for our pioneers, under the guidance of coach Miljan Bošković, include OK Vojvodina and Japan on Friday, February 21, followed by the Czech Republic the next day. Meanwhile, Petar Koković’s team will face the Czech Republic and Japan on the 21st, and the Bulgarian national team the following day. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, slated for Saturday, February 22, with the final matches taking place on Sunday.

Both pioneer teams will conduct their training in Herceg Novi, assembling on February 17 and practicing at SC “Igalo” until February 19, prior to their journey to northeastern Italy.

The U16 men’s national team, coached by Miljan Bošković, is comprised of 14 volleyball players, including technicians Luka Milošević and Aleksa Kovačević (Budućnost Volley), setters Filip Radić (Budućnost Volley) and Vuk Ojdanić (Mornar), serve receivers Vuk Stanojević, Filip Milosavljević (Budva), Vasilije Božović, Ognjen Marstijepović (Galeb), and Mihailo Grupković (Mornar). Additionally, the middle blockers are Vukota Čelebić (Budva), Filip Radonjić, and Vasilije Obradović (Galeb), with libero Sergej Martinović (Mornar).

The pioneers’ selector, Petar Koković, has also chosen 14 players for his squad, featuring technicians Nađa Peković (Budućnost Volley) and Jelena Kosović (Galeb), service receivers Elena Čolaković, Jana Mrdak (Budva), Tijana Laković (Galeb), Lina Milivojević (Akademija), and Elena Jovanović (Budućnost Volley). The middle blockers include Andrea Glavanović (Galeb), Mitra Gudelj (Mediterranean), and Sofija Duletić (Budva), with correctors Klara Đukić (Budućnost Volley) and Anastasija Koprivica (Morača). The liberos are Tara Kovačević (Galeb) and Lara Tošić (Budućnost Volley).

Alongside our teams, the tournament will see participation from the Croatian and German national squads in both categories. The men’s competition will also have Hungary and the Italian team Tinet Prata, while the women’s event will feature the Slovenian selection and the Italian team Kjons Fiume.
