A 35-year-old Croatian citizen, IS from Split, has been convicted by the Budva Misdemeanor Court and sentenced to 15 days in prison.
Judge Katarina Vujačić Vuksanović imposed the sentence following allegations by the Police Directorate that he was driving under the influence of marijuana early this morning, as confirmed by a drug test. Following the sentencing, he was taken to UIKS Spuž, as the judge determined that allowing him to remain free would hinder the execution of his sentence, stated the President of the Budva Minor Offences Court, Marko Đukanović.
In a separate case, a 34-year-old man from Podgorica, G.Š., was also sanctioned after being caught driving with a blood alcohol level of 2.73 per mille on the Budva – Cetinje main road in Boreti this morning.
“Both defendants received driving bans of four months,” concluded Đukanović.
