The Budućnost Volleyball team has kicked off its preparations for the upcoming competitive season.
Alongside their domestic matches, the Podgorica teams are slated to compete in the MEVZA League and the CEV Challenge Cup next season.
Head coach of the men’s team, Dejan Radić, emphasizes the team’s drive to demonstrate their capabilities:
– We are beginning our preparations for the new season, and I’m thrilled to see the positive atmosphere among the players. They arrived enthusiastic and ready to put in the hard work, and this initial energy fills me with confidence. In the upcoming weeks, we will focus on physical conditioning and team synergy, alongside several friendly matches against regional teams. This will provide a great chance to assess our current standing. We are particularly excited about the prestigious tournament in Kragujevac, as such matches will provide valuable experience and bolster our confidence for the challenges ahead. I want us to play with courage, determination, and passion, as I know the audience appreciates that – stated Radić.
His counterpart from the women’s team, Luka Bogojević, shares a similar optimistic outlook.
– Our team may be young, but it consists of talented and promising players who are improving consistently and showcasing immense potential. We have a challenging schedule ahead of us – beyond the domestic league, we will also engage in the MEVZA League and the CEV Challenge Cup. Before the competitive season begins, we have scheduled friendly matches that will aid in our improvement and prepare us for the upcoming challenges. As a coach, I’m very pleased with the players’ dedication even before the preparatory phase and their commitment during training. I’m especially happy that the new additions have blended seamlessly and injected fresh energy into the team. Our main objective is to progress with every match, learn from our experiences, and apply that knowledge on the court. High-quality, dedicated work along with healthy competition within the squad are crucial for the advancement of each player and the team as a whole. I’m confident this strategy will yield results and unearth the true potential of our team – Bogojević highlighted.
