The junior basketball team of Montenegro secured a thrilling 80:76 victory over the Netherlands in overtime during the third round of the European Championship B held in Romania.
This victory marks their third win in the championship, following their earlier successes against Croatia (85:80) and Norway (92:73) in the initial rounds.
Throughout much of the game, Montenegro trailed and entered the final quarter facing a ten-point deficit.
In the crucial moments, the team demonstrated resilience and tenacity, making a comeback that led to overtime.
During the additional five minutes, they played with more determination, launching a pivotal 6:0 run that shifted the momentum in their favor.
Vladimir Komnenović was the standout player for Montenegro, scoring 26 points. Maksim Brnović contributed 18 points, while Đorđe Gulić added 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Next, they are set to face Slovakia in the final round today.
