Dušan Mahorčić Joins Podgorica Bemax
Dušan Mahorčić is the latest addition to Podgorica Bemax, following the signings of Aleksa Bulajić, Petar Minić, Danilo Ivanović, and Lazar Radetić for the upcoming season.
Born in 1998 and standing at 208cm, Mahorčić plays as a power forward and center. He joins the Podgorica team after his tenure at Enosis Neon Paralimni in Cyprus, where he had an impressive season. In 23 league games, he amassed 351 points and secured 289 rebounds, averaging 15.3 points and 13 steals per game.
“With the new coach Miodrag Kadija, I might be the oldest player on the roster, and I look forward to taking on a leadership role, just as I have in my previous teams and schools,” Mahorčić expressed on the club’s website.
“I believe this season will be remarkable for both myself and Podgorica. I’m thrilled to return to Montenegro, where my family and friends are. I see this as a pivotal moment in my career. After discussing my role with the coach, I am confident that I can replicate my performance from Cyprus,” the new center added.
This past season in Cyprus marked the 27-year-old’s first professional basketball experience, having previously developed his skills in colleges across the United States, including graduating from Utah College.
