Serbian National Detained in Ulcinj Under Belgrade Warrant

The police in Ulcinj have apprehended NR (35), a Serbian national, based on an international arrest warrant from the Republic of Serbia, as reported today by the Police Directorate (UP).
The arrest was made following a warrant requiring him to serve a prison sentence of three years and eight months, as per a ruling from the Higher Court in Novi Sad for the crimes of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs.
According to the UP statement, “Officers from the Ulcinj Security Department, as part of their efforts to locate wanted individuals and acting on an international warrant from the Republic of Serbia, detained the citizen who was being sought. Yesterday in Ulcinj, based on an international warrant issued by the NCB Interpol Belgrade, NR (35) from Belgrade was taken into custody. A warrant issued by the Basic Court in Belgrade mandates a prison sentence of three years and eight months, following a verdict from the Higher Court in Novi Sad concerning the crimes of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs.”
The police further stated that NR will be presented to the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica within the statutory timeframe.
