Montenegrin Police Launch Joint Patrols with International Colleagues

Joint patrols involving police officers from the Police Directorate and their international partners are set to commence tomorrow.

For the past 15 years, the Police Directorate has been executing the “Safe Tourist Season” initiative in collaboration with police agencies from Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Albania, Italy, Kosovo, and Romania.

Between July 1 and September 1, uniformed officers and criminal investigators from these countries will join forces with Montenegrin colleagues, providing support to the Regional Security Center “South” and its associated security divisions in coastal municipalities.

“During the summer tourist season, joint patrols will be conducted in accordance with the established Protocol and predetermined plans. Officers from the Police Directorate and their international counterparts will bolster the efforts of the Montenegrin police to maintain a stable security environment. Their presence aims to ensure the safety of both tourists and residents in Montenegro while also aiding visitors in navigating any queries or issues during their stay along the Montenegrin coast. Members of the public can reach these officers through the known contact numbers of the Police Directorate and local security departments in coastal areas (122),” the police stated.
