Žaljko Franeta, a member of the Democratic Party in the Budva parliament, today filed a request to the municipal company “Parking Servis” for comprehensive documentation regarding the contracts that pertain to the leasing of specific parking spaces in the city to private companies.

As a councilor of Democratic Montenegro and a concerned citizen, I was astonished to learn that already limited parking spaces are being allocated or rented out to third parties, especially given the presence of several state institutions nearby, including the Budva Health Center. I question whether our local company is authorized to make such decisions without the Municipal Assembly’s approval,” remarked Franeta.

In his communication to the media, he requested clarification from “Parking Servis Budva” about whether a location in the “Crveni krst” parking lot has been designated, and if so, demanded full documentation regarding that process (including decisions, resolutions, consents, contracts, etc.), along with details about the company involved in the agreement.

He also sought information on whether the tenant company possesses a valid work permit and whether a contract has been established with a private company recently to lease a parking space opposite the “Perla” facility. If such a contract exists, he requested a copy along with relevant documentation (decisions, resolutions, approvals from the Board of Directors, etc.). Furthermore, he wanted to verify the tenant company’s work permit status and whether LLC “Parking Servis Budva” has entered into a compensation agreement or any other formal arrangement with LLC “ALK,” requesting the provision of that agreement along with all supplementary documentation (Board of Directors’ decisions, approvals, etc.). He inquired whether LLC “ALK” holds a work permit related to the matters in question.

Franeta asked if there was a lease or similar legal arrangement concerning parking space usage by a company across from the Academy of Knowledge in Budva.

If such an agreement exists, he asked for a copy of the contract along with all documents pertinent to this process. He also sought confirmation of whether the managing company of the parking lot possesses a valid operating license, and whether an agreement exists between DOO “Parking Servis Budva” and hotel “Sea Star” that allows guests of that hotel to utilize the managed parking spaces for free. If such an agreement exists, he requested a copy and supporting documents. This information is vital for me as a Budva citizen and a councilor within the Budva Municipal Assembly, as it is crucial for fulfilling my council duties and overseeing public enterprise operations. Transparency and public interest necessitate that this information be readily accessible,” concluded Franeta.
