The “Nemanjić Days” festival will return to Mojkovac for its second edition from August 22nd to 24th, as announced by the Municipality. This event celebrates the revival of medieval heritage.
Throughout the three-day event, the Pasarela area will be transformed into a vibrant medieval village featuring knightly battles, archery competitions, traditional craft workshops, and modern activities like the “Paint & Wine” workshop.
“A highlight of the event will be a tour of the archaeological site of Brskovo, a historically significant mining center for the Serbian medieval state, which will be the centerpiece of this year’s program. This gathering is more than just a cultural showcase; it represents a reaffirmation of identity and spiritual heritage. The Nemanjić dynasty embodies the spiritual strength, state-building wisdom, and cultural elevation of our people, and their legacy compels us to preserve the traditions and greatness of that era,” stated the Mayor of the Municipality, Vesko Delić.
Delić also announced an ambitious project to construct a replica of medieval Brskovo, with preparations close to completion. Work on this project is scheduled to commence early next year, aiming to enhance cultural tourism and affirm Mojkovac as a city where history and modernity intersect.
