FK Breznica Hosts Erasmus+ Project for the Third Year Running
The Breznica Football Club from Pljevlja is proud to announce its third participation in the project “Sport for Inclusion and Empowerment (SIE),” supported by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
This recognition from the European Union highlights the commitment and achievements of FK Breznica, affirming its status as a leading initiative in the region.
“Sport serves as an exceptional medium for uniting diverse communities, inspiring individuals, and enhancing the overall quality of life. However, socio-economic barriers and limited access to sports facilities remain significant obstacles, particularly for youth from vulnerable backgrounds, hindering their engagement in organized physical activities. This is precisely why the international project ‘Sport for Inclusion and Empowerment (SIE)’ was initiated with the backing of the Erasmus+ program,” the club stated.
“In addition to Montenegro, this project is currently active in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Greece, and Spain, aiming to ensure that all young people and children can access organized physical activities, irrespective of their background, abilities, or economic status. Every child has the right to play, develop, and thrive through sports. In collaboration with ŽFK Breznica, a pioneer in women’s football, and REGSPO, Montenegro’s leading youth and sports organization, this project coalition is dedicated to creating inclusive sports programs, educational initiatives, and local events focused on fostering a sense of unity and equality among youth. Through partnerships with educational institutions, youth organizations, and sports teams, the goal is to establish a safe, welcoming, and integrative environment for all young people. This coalition, strengthened by international partners, not only fosters regional and international collaboration but also builds a foundation for sustainable development, social inclusion, and most importantly, the empowerment of youth,” FK Breznica emphasized.
