New Host City for Water Polo European Championships in January 2024

The European Water Polo Championship is set to take place in the winter season, as confirmed by LEN.
This championship, hosted by Israel, will definitely occur from January 3 to 16 of next year, with Netanya as the venue.
According to a joint statement from LEN and the Water Polo Federation of Israel, the competition has been relocated to Netanya from Tel Aviv due to “technical and financial challenges.”
“We are fully dedicated to ensuring that the event upholds its tradition. LEN will collaborate closely with its partners in Israel to guarantee the smooth execution of the competition,” stated the president of the European Swimming Federation, Antonio Silva.
Initially, the championship was scheduled for October of this year.
Additionally, one of the significant events in 2023 will be the World Championship taking place in Fukuoka from July 14 to 30.
