Trophy specialist Pablo Laso has parted ways with Baskonia.
The Euroleague player from Vitoria confirmed the split following a year of collaboration.
“Baskonia has decided on a change in leadership, marking the end of Pablo Laso’s coaching stint with the blue and whites,” the club announced in a statement.
Laso, who previously coached Real Madrid for more than a decade, joined Baskonia on a three-year deal this summer.
Speculation suggests that Laso could be in line for the coach of the Spanish national team after EuroBasket, while Italian Paolo Galbiati is rumored to take over at Baskonia.
After a season away due to health issues, Laso spent a year at Bayern before making his move to Baskonia.
