Protest-Driven Leaders Are Now Eroding Citizens’ Right to Rebel

Member of Parliament Nikola Janović from the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) stated that “political parties and leaders who seized power by disregarding institutions and protesting daily are now eliminating the citizens’ right to dissent.”

“The situation is even more alarming when they appear to be unaware of their own citizens…” Janović expressed in a tweet on X.

Today, the Legislative Committee postponed the vote on the Bill regarding Amendments to the Law on Public Gatherings and Public Events until “clarifications can be made on the text of the law, as some articles contain ambiguities.”
