Mandić, Knežević, and Other Minor Criminals Serve at the Mercy of the Vučić Regime
The Civic Initiative (GI) 21 May has declared today that Andrija Mandić, the President of the Parliament of Montenegro and leader of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD), along with Milan Knežević, the President of the Democratic People’s Party (DNP) and MP, are being controlled by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. Their actions, the statement asserts, serve the interests of Belgrade’s autocratic regime.
“It is well-known that a faction within the Montenegrin government operates as a political agency representing external interests. Mandić, Knežević, and others linked to Greater Serbia are beholden to Vučić’s regime, and their agendas align with Belgrade’s autocracy. While protests against Serbia’s undemocratic, kleptocratic, and violent government are on the rise, Mandić does not hesitate to accept accolades from Vučić for his loyalty to foreign interests,” reads the statement from GI 21 May.
They also expressed that this recognition extends to other Montenegrin sycophants of the outgoing Belgrade regime, including the treacherous Bečić Democrats.
“Thus, it remains to be seen how Mandić and his entourage will act post-Vučić’s regime. If they are unaware, they are all listed as vassals of Šešelj’s supporters in student circles across Serbia. Their only option left is to attempt covert links with Milo Lompar and other Greater Serbia advocates who aim to infiltrate and dilute the anti-Vučić student movement. However, even these tactics will not safeguard their political standing in the Montenegrin government. Without Vučić’s support, they will merely become obsolete political baggage for Spajić,” concludes the statement from GI 21 May.
