“Alliance of Crime and Nationalism Formalized in Budva”
The Europe Now movement has declared that a “coalition of crime and nationalism” was officially recognized in Budva last night.
They argue that this revealed the “prepaid anti-fascism of the DPS, the so-called European Alliance, and the supposed church patronage of Jovanović.”
Petar Odžić, leader of the European Alliance list in the local elections, was elected president of the Budva Municipal Assembly yesterday.
Alongside him, nine councilors from the “Budva our city – Nikola Jovanović” list, seven councilors from the Democratic Party of Socialists, and a councilor from the Civic Movement URA, Živan Mudreš, also supported Odžić.
“We are convinced that every citizen with even the slightest pro-European sentiment feels ashamed and disgusted by the price at which the representatives of the Budva government are willing to sell their ideological principles to maintain the criminals’ monopoly over the city’s resources. The reformed DPS, by forming the government in Budva, has effectively appointed a new Milo as its leader, whom Danijel Živković identified during the Assembly session as a member of the Kavac criminal clan. This certainly does not come as a surprise, even to the most hardened DPS loyalists, given the party’s well-known tendency to be subservient to individuals discussing cocaine tranches via the Sky application,” stated PES.
“It will be painful to observe how the so-called European Union, often criticized in the media for its contradictory statements, will justify to its constituents the appointment of their official, who performed a nationalistic three-finger salute. It will be even more uncomfortable to witness their MP, known for moralizing, explain the coalition with those who protested against the Srebrenica resolution—perhaps, as he mentioned, there is a chance for reconciliation,” the statement continued.
PES affirmed its commitment to keeping citizens and the international community informed about “the details of the scenario prepared for the Capital City Assembly,” which was executed in Budva, asserting that “from yesterday onwards, it has been led by persons linked to organized crime, currently detained in Supka prison.”
“Despite all this, the PES-led government remains steadfast in combating organized crime and advancing European integration, serving as the complete opposite of what the Budva municipal coalition embodies. Lastly, it is worth mentioning a respected colleague from the opposition DPS who recently remarked, ‘dealing with fraudsters and traitors is the easiest; it only takes proper payment, and they will handle everything,'” the statement concluded.
